Waterproof Face Paints
Waterproof face paint is such an amazing new product, and I pretty much fall in love with it :). After painting at hot summer events and seeing my pretty designs smudged beyond recognition, or sometimes even as I tried to paint the first line, it was already coming off because of the heat... It is just a disappoint thing for everyone. After I purchased the paints my own imagination started to up and as the swim team season came along, so did a couple of really neat designs that impressed the little kids at the pool and they couldn't stop pointing out my son at every meet :).
My favorite memory was one swim meet when he arrived wit his shirt on and totally forgot he paint on as he took off his Tshirt, it revealed an Ironman inspired paint, and little 8 year olds gasped and jumped in excitement... I will never forget that moment, I just wish I had it on video :).
What started mostly a great solution for swim meets and pool parties, which I have done quite a few by now :). Always so fun to watch the kids jump into the pool and it stays on, and stays on, and looks great after the whole day! It is rewarding for them and me as well :).
Then I realized this would be an amazing solution for adult sports games, you always see the face paints on the soccer fans, the football and baseball fans, but we have waterproof solutions :). You don't have to sweat off your design :), rain won't touch it, snow won't... it is such an amazing solution :).
And of course it can be used for kids parties, because summer is time for outside, splash pads, sprinklers and slippery slides... and all of these can go with face painting now... the dreaded bouncy house? That gets all the kids to work hard on their jumps and the face paint just melts off, not just bad for kids, parents and even the bouncy house company.... Waterproof Face Paints to the rescue :).
Can combine it with some glitter tattoos for an ultimat Lego Movie inspiration :).
Now as much as I love this product and wish we could just use it all summer long, there are some things to consider.
-It gets removed with any kind of oil or lotion, that includes sunscreen... So it doesn't last as long as it should with sunscreen under it or if you apply it on top, it will smudge it..
-I also realized one day that if you are on the sun with it, it acts like sunscreen so can leave a funny tan line :).
-It is hard to combine it with glitters, as the base in the glitter balms are oil based, so they will smudge the paint, and I know how much kids love the glitters :)
-It is also a new product and I would love to have more colors still, but it is so so close :)
